FishingSpeaking of black bass fishing, Lake Kawaguchiko is the place. It is one of the best fishing spot where nationwide competition is held. There is a dedicated area for fly-fishing. Lake Saiko and Lake Motosuko are famous for very rare fish “Himemasu.” Late fall to the early spring is the season for Wakasagi smelt. In Lake Yamanakako, on-ice fishing can be enjoyed in the year when temperature is cold enough. Also, Lake Shojiko is the best spot for Herabuna carp fishing in Kanto.
